𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 + 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 isn't just about 𝘂𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴—it's about 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 🔧⚡ Over the years, we've seen significant improvements, from 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 caused by 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 to the 𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗖 𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 (600V ➡️ 1000V ➡️ 1500V) and the 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀.

For 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗘𝗣𝗖𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, these advancements mean 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘆𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

If you're 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 your assets, let's discuss how the latest tech can 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀.

The biggest improvement performance-wise is the reduction of outages. That's been the biggest benefit that we've seen. Typically it's the inverter that has failed in some way. A part has failed or perhaps there was an arcing event. There could be any number of reasons. The evolution of technology in solar is a big part of the fun for me. Especially with younger engineers. The opportunity to take them to an older site and show the "history of solar". I get a real kick out of that. There's technology like bipolar inverters which some of us remember. The positively grounded and the negatively grounded DC. We don't see much of that anymore but it's still out there. A lot of 600v systems in ground mounts and in rooftops the DC voltage has evolved over time from 600 to 1000 to 1500. And as that has evolved so have the inverter technological solutions. And as well on the AC side, the voltages vary. The AC voltages were set up differently back in the day. There used to be an integral transformer on the central inverters. They don't have that anymore. The inverters are transformer-less. That's something we also account for.
